Life goals and obstacles go hand in hand. These few quotes will help you get started in moments when things are not going the way you would like.
“I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” – Michael Jordan
Perseverance is the most crucial factor on the way to your goals. The difference between those who succeed in everything they set out to do and those who fail is not intelligence, talent, or luck, but thousands of hours invested.
“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” – Seneca
This is the most important thing you need to understand. Every minute invested in your goals significantly increases your chances of achieving them. Luck works best in combination with the time invested. Hope, without effort, is a bad strategy. Work on your goals with all you have, and “luck” will appear much more often.
“Life is like riding a bike. To maintain balance, you have to move forward.” – Albert Einstein
In life, you either progress or regress. There is no middle, forever-safe ground. The ratio of things that move you forward, or push you back, is up to you. Only when you step out of your comfort zone and start working on your goals will your life improve. Even the smallest steps move you forward if you do them regularly. Small changes are not easily visible, but they are there. If you persevere, one day, you will look back and see that you have made incredible progress.
“You are today where your thoughts have brought you: you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you.” – James Allen
Two people can live an equally long lifespan, one always dissatisfied and pessimistic, the other happy and satisfied. You choose which one you will be. Don’t start the day by reading bad news. Start with something positive: good music, recreation, or pleasant company.
“Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” – John Lennon
The obstacles that life puts in front of us sometimes completely occupy us, and even when we overcome them, we forget to get back on the right path. Demanding situations and challenges are an integral part of life; it is essential to learn to deal with them successfully. Your character grows stronger, and your self-confidence grows as you successfully overcome each new life challenge; don’t give up. Giving up is a terrible habit.
“For every minute you are angry, you lose 60 seconds of happiness.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Don’t waste your precious time on anger. If someone or something makes you angry, learn to calm down as quickly as possible. Focus your thoughts on the good things before anger ruins your day.
“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” – Goethe
Although goals are what drive us, they are just checkpoints. The journey to our goals is what shapes us as a person. Work on your goals, but also learn to enjoy the journey that leads to their achievement.
