“A healthy mind in a healthy body” – Juvenal, 2000 years ago
A great workout does not depend on expensive sportswear or a membership in the best fitness center. With good music, and at any time of the day, you can do a great workout at home. During the time you would otherwise spend on grooming and the trip to the fitness center (and back), you can do an entire workout. You don’t even need shoes for home training; just put on some light clothes, and you’re ready!
To get started, choose a few basic exercises and then start slowly. It’s important to get going, but you are in no hurry. Let exercising become an integral part of your life. Schedule the exercises correctly so that you do not overdo it or injure yourself. People are most easily injured in the beginning, when the heart wants to do more than the body can handle. Take a break of at least a day or two between exercises that affect the same muscle group. Consider designating a day of the week for a certain area, such as Mondays and Thursdays are Leg Days, Tuesdays and Fridays are Arm Days, etc.
Enjoy your workout. You choose the pace and the exercises. Be sure to warm up before your workout, and then stretch after it. Focus on proper breathing and the correct form of the exercises. The first two weeks you will feel exhausted, until you increase your fitness level a bit. Soon you will notice that gravity affects your body in a different way. Your energy will rise significantly, and your life will be much better.
Important: A workout cannot beat a fork. To burn the calories that one piece of chocolate cake or a bag of chips has, you need a solid workout, or even two. The cake has at least 400 kcal; half an hour of light running burns about 300 kcal. If you are already making an effort, do it right. Exercise regularly, and minimize the food that ruins your effort. You don’t have to constantly avoid food you love, but keep it under control if you want your mirror to be satisfied.
Exercises you can do at home:
(take a look at the exercises from the links below to avoid injury)
– Warming up before the beginning of the workout
– Push-ups (different variations)
– Plank (straight and side plank)
– Exercises with dumbbells and elastic bands for different muscles
– Exercises for abdominal muscles
– Pull-ups and horizontal pull-ups (for arms and back)
– Stretching at the end of the workout
If you include walking in your schedule, that is the perfect combination for great health and a good mood.

Basic equipment that everyone can afford:
– Exercise mat
– Resistance bands
– Jump rope
– Dumbbells (you can buy used dumbbells at a low price, and they have no expiration date:)
– Pull-ups bar (for mounting on the door frame)
– Gymnastic rings
– Workout bench
Even if you don’t want to get a bench, dumbbells, or a pull-ups bar, you can just get elastic bands that you can use to exercise all your muscles. Push-ups, squats, lunges, planks, and abdominal exercises do not require any equipment. Aside from your own laziness, you won’t find a good excuse to not get in shape.
Some willpower and good music that lifts your mood are all you need to get your body in great shape.
Conclusion:
Anyone can exercise. Getting your body in good shape is one of the important goals you can set for yourself. There are more than enough reasons for that: health, self-confidence, high energy, excellent mood, and the overall quality of life.
It is said that a healthy person has a thousand wishes and a sick person only one. Don’t let your neglected health ruin everything you’ve worked hard on throughout your life. If you don’t like going to the gym and you’re short on time, you can do an excellent workout at home whenever you catch some time.
